Practice-Research

This is sketchbook work done as practice-based research for the environments, informed by the investigations and case studies.

No comments:

This Project...

... will show how the theme of a game can be put across by the look of the environment; without having to read/listen to any introductions or talk to any NPCs, we can still get a sense of what is going on from what we see around us.

This will be of value in games by generating the narrative in a much more subtle way, or just backing up the narrative and creating a better sense of immersion. Either way it is good to have a complete experience in a game, where all the different components of the design work in harmony.

The final 3D environment will be the conclusion of my 4th year Honours Project, and most importantly should be a good addition to my portfolio which will hopefully help get me a job in the games industry.
